WASHINGTON — The State Department confirmed Monday that diplomatic relations with Cuba will remain suspended until Havana verifies the accuracy of Sec. Marco Rubio's biography. Officials said discrepancies regarding Rubio's childhood address are a national security threat.

"We cannot negotiate with a regime that lies about where I grew up," said spokesperson Linda Merriweather. "Precedent matters."
